Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)
In one year alone, MSF admitted more than 1.3 million people to hospitals, from pediatric nurses to off-road drivers, their experts at working in fast-moving and highly-insecure environments. More than 42,000 of MSF staff, from surgeons to warehouse managers, were hired locally from the places they support. Their teams are also running long-term medical programmes for vulnerable groups cut off from care, or speaking out about unseen suffering and the policies that cause it.
Key services include: Daily distribution of 732,000 liters of water in Gaza; emergency surgeries, wound care, and physiotherapy; pediatric and maternal careand over 31,000 consultations for mental health support.
Following IIT's previous grant to Médecins Sans Frontières in Ukraine funding medical equipment, IIT has now allocated funds to MSF for their humanitarian work in Palestine.
